Through qualitative research methods, this study examines the development of Gong-liao anti-nuclear movement, and the inspiration of the rising community movement and community colleges to the local management of anti-nuclear movement. Besides, the study also discusses the relationship between the anti-nuclear movement and environmental education. The result of the study shows the three stages of Gong-liao anti-nuclear movement as following: “developing period” (1968-1988), “mature period” (1988-1996), and “changing period” (1996-present). As a long-term member of social movement, the meaning of anti-nuclear movement in Gong-liao including the respect to local citizen, the care to other issues in local communities, the construction to future development, and the education of local human resources; it is so called “Gong-liaology”. |
