This thesis will first examine rock formation's physical properties and ground water level distributions along boring locations along the tunnel. Meteorological data of northern Taiwan region from the Central Weather Service will further aid the study. More, correlation will be made between ground water activities and ground water temperature. In the last section of this thesis, heat dissipation effect of tunnel walls from ground water activities will be modeled with empirical simulations.
