Coal industry played a decisive role in development of Taiwan history. Coal industry once formed settlements and specific ways of living, it also made a radical change in landscape of northern Taiwan for decades. Coal mine heritage appears as ruins, casts glamour over the landscape, and shows cultural and historic value.
