The main purpose of this research is to study the forms and functions of "Openwork Windows" in the Lin's Family House. The method of site investigation was used to collect data and information through photographing and measurement. Further research was then conducted by categorization, consolidation, and comparison analysis. The thesis is divided into six chapters. Chapter One is "Introduction" . Chapter Two is "Chinese garden Openwork Windows" . Chapter Three is "The Background and Garden Layouts Design of Lin's Family House" . Chapter Four is "The investigation of Lin's Family House's Openwork Windows" , Chapter Five is "Lin's Family House Openwork Windows's Comparison and Analysis" . Chapter Six is "Conclusion".
