This study is an attempt to investigate the environmental change perception of community residents of the Gan-Yuan Area in the Shu-Lin City in the Taipei County. An analysis of the community residents’ pollution perception during the construction stage of Taipei University, the community residents’ awareness of pollution after the accomplishment of the university, the community residents’ satisfaction of the present land use type of agriculture, their perception pollution caused by the factories, residents’ attitudes towards the land use change from agriculture into quarries.
