Shulin is located in south west pant of the Taipei basin. The purpose of this study is mainly to analyse the formation of the Shulin settlement, and about the waterways and roads of the old district in Shulin were built by the Hanpeople. Frist, the study is mainly based on flied work as well as some historical materials used to inquire into the physical environment of the Shulin settlement.
