With rapid increase of population density and high development of city scale, the supply of employment and residence fell short in demand. Nehu district, a newly born suburb, has well done justice to its function of city containment and become an important residence area. Nehu district has been included in the City of Taipei since year 1968.Up to the end of December, 1974, the population in Nehu district is 51,369 and to the end of year 2005, the population grew up 5.1 times to 261,837.The purpose of this study is to understand the mobility motive, the satisfied condition of the residential environment and the re-migration propensity of the inhabitants in Nehu district. Also, to predict the re-migration propensity of the inhabitants with residents background and the satisfaction of residential environment. The investigate objects of this study are the parents of elementary school in Nehu district. A total of 991 complete questionnaires were obtained for analysis.
