This study is based on the viewpoint of maintaining a good quality of life in the residential zone. The sub-wards, Long Yun and Cher Tseng, are taken as of samples to investigate the factors that affect the living environment’s quality. The surveyor suggests that the authorities should enforce control measures in the residential zone, and he hopes that the quality of the living environment may be maintained and improvements can be made in the zoning of land in use and its control. The scope of the study consists of two sub-wards, Cher Tseng and Long Yun. Data were collected through questionnaires and statistical analysis in order to understand the current situation of their mixed use, the degree of satisfaction on the part of residents with their living environment, and the view on the direction of future control.
