The thesis discusses the homeless’ information needs and the public librarians’ service attitude for the homeless people. In order to further understand what the homeless use in the public library, this thesis adopts observation and interview methods to record the appearance of the homeless to establish the homeless imagery also observe their behavior in the public library. Besides the observation, the study also deep-interviews seven homeless people who enter in the public library to affirm their information needs and five public librarians of Wanhua district in Taipei city and the homeless social worker of the Wanhua district social welfare center. According to the research results, the researcher makes suggestions and a conclusion about the homeless service in the public library. |
